Description: Third Party Evaluation of the ATMA Scheme to assess the: implementation of the scheme, performance of the scheme and the impact on beneficiary farmers (800 across India). The findings of the study will be used as input for guiding the investments in extension over the coming five year plan.

Description:Third Party Evaluation of the ATMA Scheme to assess the implementation of the scheme, performance of the scheme and the impact on beneficiary farmers.The assessment includes assessment of the various sub-schemes of the DOE including: support to central institutes, training for input dealers, skill training for rural youth, Farmer certification, etc. The findings of the study will be used as input for guiding the investments in extension over the coming five year plan.

Name of Project : Adoption and Impacts of Laser Land Leveling: Evidences from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh of India
Description: The objective of the study was to undertake an impact assessment of the technology on different crops. Impact assessment of technology adoption on different crops. We developed statistically robust research design for impact evaluation. We integrated the use of quantitative and qualitative research tools for an in-depth and rigorous impact evaluation.

Name of Project : Evaluation Study of Center for Organic Farming Projects
Description: The objective of the study was to take a bird’s eye view of Sir Ratan Tata Trust’s investment in the Center for Organic Farming (COF) Projects with the perspective of identifying strategic areas for future investments. We did a comprehensive Impact Evaluation of two phases of the project. There was special focus on women farmers engaged in organic farming. We used qualitative surveys for reconstructing baseline data.

Name of Project: Innovative Approaches for Impact Assessment of Adoption of Agricultural Technologies
Description: The objective of the project was to develop a business model through use of innovative technology in field data collection. Developed mobile-based applications for enhancing the speed of field data collection while reducing costs. Around 1200 households were covered to test the mobile app at the field using tablets. We utilized an innovative Impact Evaluation Approach. We integrated the use of quantitative and qualitative research tools for an in-depth and rigorous impact evaluation

Name of Project: Baseline Study for Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) Project Across South Asia
Description: The objective was to undertake a detailed Household Survey in the CCAFS project areas before the initiation of the activities to provide an understanding of the ground situation to guide the project activities and enable impact assessment at the end of the project. We implemented a large-scale baseline survey covering 2500 Households across the Indo-gangetic Plain in India (Haryana and Bihar), Nepal and Bangladesh.

Name of Project: Joint Review Mission of Mitigating Poverty in Western Rajasthan (MPOWER) Project, Funded by IFAD
Description: The objective of the Mission was to review the progress of the project, assess realistically what would be achievable in the remaining implementation period and recommend changes in the design and investment in the project for the project to complete successfully meeting the project objectives. We supplemented the report with an understanding of the key aspects of women empowerment in the project: Strengthening of grass roots institutions by mobilization & capacity building of SHGs members; providing livelihood support by income generation, marketing & employment creation and development finance; access to micro-finance, impact on farming from water management practices, impact of exposure to initiatives in dry land agriculture, participating in goat/dairy enterprise, etc.
Name of Project: Evaluation of USAID-funded Strengthening Agricultural Market Systems (SAMS) Project in India
Description: The overall objective was to assess the impact of the “Strengthening Agricultural Market Systems in India” (SAMS) project. We implemented this impact evaluation study across the state. The activities performed included project evaluation of the SAMS project in India.
